Visiting our practice? Please continue to wear a face covering and social distance
All of our COVID-19 secure measures remain in place and this will not change when Government guidance changes on 19 July 2021.
Patients are asked to continue to wear a face covering, unless they are exempt, and to follow social distancing when visiting our GP Practice.
This follows the national Infection Prevention Control (IPC) Guidance for all healthcare settings and will help to ensure the safety of our staff and patients at all times.
Thank you for your continued support.
COVID-19 Vaccination programme – update 17.05.21
We have vaccinated thousands of our patients and are so grateful to all of our staff and local volunteers whose hard work, support and dedication has enabled us to help deliver the vaccine to our patients who are most at risk of Covid-19.
The vaccine programme is now in Phase 2 which will focus on cohorts 10 -12 (ages 18 – 49). We will however continue to provide second doses to our patients who received their first dose through the practice vaccination hubs.
Patients in cohorts 10 – 12 (ages 18-49) will be invited for their vaccine by text or letter from either the National Booking Service or one of the local Vaccination Hubs, (Alconbury or Little Paxton).
Patients awaiting their second doses are asked not to contact the practice – we will contact you when it is the right time to book your appointment.
Any patient aged 40 and over or in cohort 1-10 who has not yet received their vaccine can book online via nhs.uk/covidvaccination or by calling 119.
Whether you have had the vaccine or not, please continue to follow all the guidance in place to control the virus and save lives.

Covid Vaccination Update 26.03.21
We are coming to the end of our vaccination programme for first doses and will shortly be starting on the programme for second doses.
You will be contacted when your second vaccine is due (77-84 days from the first one). We will send you a text message with a link to click on to book your vaccine when due. Please ensure when booking that you book at the same hub location as your first. We encourage anyone that has the use of a smartphone to book via the link and not call the surgery to keep our phone lines free for medical problems. If you do not have a mobile phone then please do not worry, you will be contacted by telephone.
We appreciate that everyone is keen to receive their second dose. Please do not contact us to try and book your vaccine early as we are unable to offer you a second vaccine before the 77 days.
Everyone who has not yet been vaccinated can also help the programme by making sure that your GP practice has correct contact details (ideally a mobile phone number), as you will be contacted by text to book your appointment via an automated system.
The text comes from accurx.thirdparty.nhs.uk and takes you to a survey link to book your appointment. This should help you to tell it is not a scam. If you do not have a mobile phone, someone will contact you on your landline to book your appointment.

Covid Vaccination Status for Travellers
From 17th May the NHS App will provide this information for all those able to access the App in a new “Covid Vaccine Status” update.
From 17th May anyone who is not able to access the App can call 119 and request a letter – please note this must be at least 5 days after your 2nd dose, and the letter may take up to 5 days.
We Are Open
As we are all aware, the current Coronavirus pandemic has presented huge challenges over the last few months. Nobody has been immune from the disruption and uncertainty.
How you contact us will be different at the moment. This is to limit face-to-face contact whenever possible and help stop the spread of coronavirus. Clinicians are currently triaging all patients over the telephone or by video consult to ensure the ongoing protection of patients and staff.
If we ask you to attend the surgery please ensure you wear a face covering. Measures are in place to keep you safe from infection during your visit to the surgery. Please do not come to the surgery unless you have an appointment.
Please notify us upon your arrival for your appointment by telephone and either wait outside or in your vehicle until you are advised that it is appropriate to enter the building.
If you are collecting a prescription, please only enter the first section of the building, wear a face covering and adhere to social distancing rules. If you wish to speak with reception then please telephone them instead of popping into the reception area.
The situation is fluid and every day brings new challenges. We are hugely grateful for the support, understanding and patience that you have shown.
Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe.
We have an open list and are welcoming new patients to register and be part of the practice.
